Fundraising
York Revolution Game
§ Lots of positive feedback from staff, parents, students.
§ Notes for next time: have band students arrive closer to game time—no need to have them there too early—nothing for them to do, 2 students got sick from the heat while waiting.
§ The students seemed to enjoy performing and enjoy the game. The ticket sales were very successful.
§ Concessions: some people felt this was a lot of work for a little money (we earned approximately $600.00), but most said they had fun and would do it again. Next time we might consider selling tickets but not working concessions.
§ We collected about $20 in each donation container—next time take more containers.
§ A weekend game would likely be more profitable. This year the weekend games were taken before we decided to do it.
SHS Football Concessions/Season Tickets
§ Mr.Poole and Donette Yeilding are working on this.

Tag Day
New Fundraising Ideas:
Band Camp Aug. 4-15
§ WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!!!! We need help during band camp with shoes, uniforms, food/drinks, picture day, tag day preparation, etc. Kathy Renzi will put together a schedule for each day of band camp and try to line up volunteers.
Disney Trip
The next payment is due on or about Aug.1. We have deposits for 45 students. There seems to be interest among the parents in going, so we are not anticipating a problem getting chaperones.
Parades
Our participation in the Shrewsbury, New Freedom and Glen Rock parades seems to have been successful. The students looked good in the summer “uniforms”, they had fun, and the communities seemed happy to have the band there. We’ve received lots of positive feedback.
Trailer
Some of the missing items from the stolen trailer have been returned by a kind gentlemen who went out of his way to contact us. He found three black bags, two of which still had the wood blocks in them. We are very appreciative and Donette Yeilding, who took the time to contact the gentleman and meet with him to retrieve the items, will send a thank-you note.
Guard Accessories
The question of whether the boosters should subsidize the guard uniforms was raised. The school will pay for their uniforms, but they will incur about $89.00 in costs for gloves, unitards, shoes, etc. It was agreed that the musicians must supply their own instruments, reeds, etc. and we cannot pay for all of that. In addition, the boosters provide ample fundraising opportunities to offset the costs.
Marching Show
Mr. Poole has a prototype for the shield to be used in the show. Brian Schriver is going to modify it. He needs some input over the next few weeks. The names Bruce Auburger, Linden Deibert, John Yeilding, Bill Yost and Steve Meyer were suggested. Please contact any board member if you can help. Donna Schriver will try to get some volunteers.
Donette Yeilding is working on the sashes for the show.
Database
Donette Yeilding and Donna Schriver are working on the database for 2008-09 band students.
