§ We need to encourage more kids to take private lessons………..even during marching season. They will be excused from marching practice for private lessons.
§ Indoor Groups performing on Sat. in the KIDA show. Please come—it’s really a fun event and this is our very first time hosting.
Old Business
§ Battle of the bands was amazing, bingo was great. The boosters’ teamwork is very impressive.
§ Battle of the Bands Feedback: A lot of feedback has already been compiled for next year. Tina thanked everybody who helped. This event was well-received by the kids. They had fun. Feedback from a few teens: didn’t really want to listen to booster business during the show. It was also pointed out that there were many adults in the audience who might have been interested in the announcements. Overall feedback was positive and we hope to repeat this event next year.
§ Basket Bingo Feedback Earlier start time if it’s in the winter, callers were too fast, too slow, paper cards preferred, corn can be difficult for some people to handle. We sold 193 tickets, 112 of which were sold by students. Overall the event was very successful. Note: We saw more support from families this year and less from businesses.
§ Tedd Wheeler has called about half of the people on the booster list to ask for donations of food so far, and most say yes and are glad to help. Tedd plans to be around for a while and he feels the boosters are a great group to work with. (We’re going to hold you to it, Tedd!)
