Fundraising:
Jazz Fest (April 4, 2009, Shrewsbury Elementary School)
We currently have York Suburban, York Catholic, SHS and SMS committed. Lynne Hood will send out a second notice after the holidays.
We need some middle school parents to get involved. They will be invited to the next meeting.
Please consider helping out in some way with the Jazz Fest. It is always a very enjoyable evening but it cannot happen without the help of many volunteers. We need people to handle tickets, advertising, serve food, set up, tear down………there are lots of small ways you can contribute. If you might be able to help, please contact Lynne Hood @ 235-0104.
Disney Trip Help is needed on Wed, 12/17 (during drum line practice, 6:30-8:30) to gather sashes and helmets and get uniforms ready for the trip. We will be in the band room or uniform closet. Please stop by and help if you can.
Donna Schriver is taking care of getting all the bills for the trip paid. Please take a moment to thank her when you see her—she has been instrumental (no pun intended!) in planning this trip for our students.
We had a very nice turnout at the parents’ meeting and we are confident that everyone is ready for the trip.
Storage facility A 10x10 storage facility has been donated by Chris Lutter of Summit Self-Storage in exchange for a full-page ad in the Jazz Fest program. The boosters would like to thank Chris for this much-needed temporary storage, and thank you to Bonny for arranging this.
Web Site www.warriorbands.org The web site looks great, thanks to Brian Schriver. (Those Schrivers…………where would we be without them?!)
We need to work on the Partners in Pride list. Mr. Poole will send Brian a list of district band members to be added to the site.
Please join us for the next meeting on Jan. 5, 2009 at 7pm in the SHS band room. Band members are welcome and encouraged to attend—we are here for you and we value your input.
